Pali Lookout

We recently checked out a place called Pali Lookout. Its where King Kamehameha battled to unite all the Islands together. He did that by pushing the opposing tribe off the edge of the cliff to fall to their death. Pretty gruesome. Especially the a picture of the event, which was how Shaun found out about the place. One of his coworkers had a big painting of it up on his wall. Shaun of course thought "Awesome! Where is this place?" Thus the excursion to the historical site. I don't know if it is always this windy, but it was pretty intense up there, and of course absolutely beautiful.

This is a compiled video of the trip. A picture of the battle is in there. Towards the end Izzy was crying because the wind was so strong that she was blown off her feet and it scared her so bad because she thought she was going to get blown away. I had just turned the camera on so I didn't get a shot of the wind blowing her off her feet, just only afterwards. Poor sweet little girl.

  3. That was crazy wind! I love that Shaun is totally laughing it up and Liz is doting on the kids. That was a georgous view. The battle looked like that shot from 300.
