An Update

Shaun finally was able to get through to HRC yesterday, and its not good news. The new system is still down, and she can't process our paperwork till its up and running. She said that won't be for another couple weeks, or worst case scenario, end of February. I guess there is really no rush for us to get out of here. Shaun has the best hours possible and is happy. Izzy will be able to finish her preschool year, and maybe I'll get to see a really good friend of mine baby before we leave. It's also good that we won't have to move in the dead of winter. There's no rush, but still......it sure would be nice to know where we are going.

I love my Izzy

Last night.
During our bedtime routine of putting the kids to bed.
Mom: Izzy go pick out your bedtime books please.
Isabel: Hold on! Daddy's destroying me!

It's what Izzy calls it when Daddy wrestles around with the kids and plays with them.
Just love that girl.

Crazy Parenting

I love my boys, but sometimes I worry that I let them get away with too much. Shaun loves to teach the kids to have no fear. As a Mom I'm cringing, but as a person who has climbed a mountain using just the tip of her fingers and toes, loves motorcycle rides, and will someday go skydiving I'm secretly cheering them on. Don't tell the kids though. The last thing they need is more encouragement to be more of the little daredevils they are.

I had this other video of Shaun snapping the towel at the kids while they kept running past him. Its not working for some reason, but Ian, again, is pretty fearless and thinks its hilarious. Silly boy.

JANUARY 18TH!!

This is it. The tension is building. The stress is mounting. I'm seriously going to go insane with the waiting you have to do in the military.
Shaun called HRC (human resource center) to remind them that we are still here in Georgia, waiting in limbo. He was able to talk to this nice lady who is going to help him out with all that needs to be done. She said that our timing couldn't have been perfect because the program that they use to tell them what positions are available and where is being closed down and they will reboot it with a new program on the 18th with a whole slew of new positions available. She said to call her back on the 18th and she'll do what she can to help us out.
We are hoping to move back to Washington. That's our #1 choice. I asked Shaun if its possible if he could find out when he calls on the 18th if a Germany slot has opened up. He doesn't hold out much hope for that, but it doesn't hurt to try.
So that's just a heads up for those who are interested.
JANUARY 18th!!
