This is it. The tension is building. The stress is mounting. I'm seriously going to go insane with the waiting you have to do in the military.
Shaun called HRC (human resource center) to remind them that we are still here in Georgia, waiting in limbo. He was able to talk to this nice lady who is going to help him out with all that needs to be done. She said that our timing couldn't have been perfect because the program that they use to tell them what positions are available and where is being closed down and they will reboot it with a new program on the 18th with a whole slew of new positions available. She said to call her back on the 18th and she'll do what she can to help us out.
We are hoping to move back to Washington. That's our #1 choice. I asked Shaun if its possible if he could find out when he calls on the 18th if a Germany slot has opened up. He doesn't hold out much hope for that, but it doesn't hurt to try.
So that's just a heads up for those who are interested.

ReplyDeleteColorado Springs isn't bad, either! =) Although, like you, I have told my husband that if there is ever a chance for us to get to Germany, TAKE IT! Good luck, I know how it is!
ReplyDeleteWashington would sure be wonderful!!!Germany would be fun. It's so hard to not have full control on your life in the Army, but......You truly will be just fine. All will be well.
