I will keep this one short because I don't need to go into all of the details. Last night while on our way to Georgia, we pulled over to give Chico a potty break. He for some reason ran across the highway before I could stop him and was hit by a semi truck. He was was gone instantly. He was a part of our family that cannot be replaced. All that we can do is hope that someday he can be with us again.

Liz and Shaun, we are so sad with you and hope you feel better soon. Chico was a sweet friend to your family and you will miss him very much. I must say how grateful we are that Isabel was not the one who ran into the street. Hope the rest of your trip and transition to Georgia will be happier. We love you.

I'm sitting here in our D.C. hotel waiting for you guys to wake up. It's already 10 am! -As Brooke said, we're really sad about Chico. I'm sure he went to the highest place in heaven for dogs. He was a good boy. And Mom, did you really say that?
